this is where we will be posting bulletins and annocentments about the site as we progess. we will post an activity check once the site is running and will carry on with these each time the site starts to dwindle. we will also be updating you on developments in the site's plot and how we plan to move the site along in the future. We will also use this area to discuss nominations for the spotlight and other various awards the site has to offer.

this is probably one of the most important sections of the board. this is where you come to make your character. the application template needs to be followed carefully. we are a non-canon site, this means you start from the beginning without any help from us, giving you complete freedom to do whatever you want to do. we do however ask that you do not use pictures of yourself or anyone else from myspace or other friend networking sites as your pb, cause that is just freaky and weird.

so you have your character? great! now you can really get down to the nitty-gritty and have some fun with the character. this is where you can find all the claims you will need on the site. including aim, mobile and residence claim. you can also claim your face here. so shimmy over here stat!

the magical hall of fame. this is where you want your application to end up. if we file it here then you can role play in other areas of the site. anyone can come back here and can read up on a character who is already made. applications help get a better grasp of the character and so this is a very important place to come when plotting with someone.

this is where all those pretty plot pages belong. yes i know that they can be very confusing with all those colours and lyrics but everyone really needs one to keep their loves in order. i would truly love you if you could get one up immediately after joining just so your lives can get off the ground right from the start. just remember that not everyone can be friends, if everyone got along it would just get boring and boring is not something we want on without scars. make it dramatic, make it fun and make it interesting. give us all something to read!

| plotting ads .
got your character? need a plot? this is where you come. it is usually a good idea for everyone to have a general plot ad as it means you are able to condense your application for easy reading and can pick up new ideas and plots from other people. you can code them as well, and make them pretty with nice fonts and graphics, but remember, drama is what makes the sorld go round, so enjoy yourself.

| hogwarts wireless network .
after much complaint from the muggleborns of the school, a new technology was developed. based off muggle technology, five laptops type machines where placed in every dorm room, allowing the to connect to a school wide intranet. Providing students with the latest news, the ability to contact their professors with ease and most importantly providing the students with an instant messenger service, that was demanded most by the muggle-borns of the school.

so the golden snitch is not the only place to get the latest on the goings on in Hogwarts, oh no! when you next slide down those panties in the girls bathroom, or sit under a nice oak tree, that a look at some of the stuff written there, you would be amazed. Granted that some of it is false, but most of the time the school scandal is revealed here. though if you do something, that let the snitch know…can’t have her going out of business!

ever wanted to know something about a character, well this is the place to do it. here you can make a thread for your character, for people to reply to with questions for that ‘said’ character. the character can answer truthfully, but they are allowed to lie. this is just one of things the professors have added to intranet, to make Hogwarts just that little more interesting for the current students.

| the golden snitch .
after the birth of the H.W.N. a small online blog was set up anonymously and ever since has been causing havoc and scandel within the school. posting on a regular bases, the blogger informs all subscribers to the goings on of the school, or more the scandalous goings on of the more ‘elite’ members of the school. it is a new hit in the school and as soon as a blog is posted, it is the schools latest news. sometimes it sucks to be popular.

| HOGWARTS CASTLE |
| dungeons . (4 sub-boards)
this winding corridor is the only way you can reach your potion lesson, the slytherin's or hufflepuff's common room. also if you're hungry you must take this corridor to reach the dungeons. it is lit by eerie flickering torches and smells slightly as if the walls were filled with damp and rotting matter. the prefects aren't so obsessive about coming down here than the other corridors on their rounds, and its pretty easy to get lost.

| ground floor . (4 sub-boards)
this floor of hogwarts school of witch craft and wizardry is the first you will come across when you enter through the great oak doors. for first years it is an ominous sight. many doors lead off of this corridor. into places some unknown. this corridor is mostly used by students hanging around for their next lesson or ones who just can't be bothered to climb the stairs.

this corridor has many wonders hidden behind its doors. not many people know all the secrets of this easily reachable corridor. everyone always swears that the teachers are the only ones who can command it but they are not more likely to be of help than say peeves. this corridor shall always remain a trick of the mind, simple as that.

| second floor . (3 sub-boards)
this corridor is just like any other at the school apart from the suits of armour... they tend to try and scare passers by by jumping out at unsuspecting victims. if you wish to combat them there is a small point on the backs of one of their knees, the third one on the left i believe, if you press it with the base of your wand they shut down for 24 hours.

this corridor is one that often misleads new students at hogwarts... ample because it refuses to stop changing around. the doors lead to different places of certain thursdays and disappear completely on every sixth friday. there is a trick to getting through it. the word 'lollipop' seems to make it laugh and it will open up regardless of the day or time.

| fourth floor . (2 sub-boards)
this corridor is one of those that appear to go one forever... because it does! this corridor will just keep stretching until the wanderer is tired and worn out then it will freeze and finally reveal the direction to the walker's desired destination. the trick to bypassing this is just to stop, stand for about two minutes. the corridor will get confused and stop.

this floor's corridor is famous because it is peeves main drifting place. anyone without the help of a langlock curse had better steer clear when he is down here or you may just find yourself having to put up with his pranks and jokes. the only other way to avoid it is to move down this corridor behind the slytherin ghost, he's a good protective barrier.

this corridor is actually the only one with nothing in particular going on down it. the only thing that may draw attention is the tapestries that line the walls. they tend to smile and wave a lot, but when the moonlight falls over them you can see them partying like teenagers again and again.

| seventh floor . (3 sub-boards)
this corridor is lined with doors. some that don't open, some that lead to nowhere, some that speak. but then there is an expanse of normal wall... or is it really normal? the word 'cosmo' is important here because all those doors will suddenly become only ones that you need. every corridor in this place has a trick, you just have to know them.

you are now on-top of the school, and boy is there a lovely view, i mean you can see hagrids cabin, pure wonderment . well if you can tear your eyes away for the view you shall a couple of other things, such as the astronomy tower. these towers are such a great place to come if you need to escape the hustle and bustle.

| HOGWARTS GROUNDS |
| the black lake .
this glimmering lake often appears crystal blue on the surface but if you look closer you will see that is actully many colours of turquoise and the very depths are murky brown. you can swim if you have no fears of the giant squid and the other mythical creatures that reside within it.

| forbidden forest .
trek through this dark and eerie forest if you wish to be scared out your wits by every breaking twig and rustle of leaves. creatures of danger and beauty reside with in it's walls like a disease ready to strike on unsuspecting wanderers

| lawns .
these lawns are kept bright green and alive by the constant watering done by the grounds keeper. they are cut nearly every week so there is always a lovely smell about them. so come and sit. have a laugh, a snowball fight or any kind of relaxation upon them!

| greenhouses .
herebology is taught in these green glass buildings outside in the grounds. there are three, two are for normal classes, the other one is for more dangerous classes. mandrakes and killer vines are only the beginning with the stuff the new teacher choses to put on her syllabus is incredible. nothing for the faint hearted.

| quidditch pitch .
this grassed area is enclosed by high stadiums walls where eager quidditch fans sit in expecation of an amazing game of the best sport in the wizarding world, quidditch. teams may rent this pitch for practices and such like. though it is also open twenty-four seven to all those who just need to fly.

| OUTSIDE HOGWARTS |

this is a very special village located just to the side of hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry, it is special because it is the one and only completely magical village in the whole of great britain.

this is one of the most popular night clubs owned by none other than remus lupin. located in hogsmeade for easy access to students, this club is always booming with loud music. not to mention sixth years and up get alchohol.

| diagon alley .
tap the right brick on the wall behind the local pub, the leaky cauldron to reveal the entrance to diagon alley. which is a lovely cobbled street, lined with interesting shops, and people for that matter.

| knockturn alley .
okay this is not a particularly nice place, full of dark magic, and even darker shops. so do not come waddling down here if you know what is good for you, or maybe you do and are just into that kind thing.

| kings cross station .
okay this place is really not that thrilling in the world, though it might be if you are one of the muggle absorbed geeks, and like to come here to watch the trains. otherwise it just holds the entrance to the hogwarts express.

| ministry of magic .
okay it is a big building underground, and lot of people work here, and i suppose it is pretty snazzy. so that is about it. when the telephone in the box is dialed (62442, or m-a-g-i-c), the welcome witch's voice answers, not from the phone but from the air. visitors must state their business, upon which a silver badge pops out with the visitor's name and purpose of visit.
